Just got back from Italy (previous mesg was written in haste from the hotel comp terminal) and I can't see your vid on Imeem: do I need to download a special player or sthg?

I see what you mean about the song being important - the replacement track on the AFFINITY vid worked OK, but whilst I was away I got a Rigaud fan asking if I could possibly upload the original "Sharp-Dressed Man" on another site, as ZZTop made him funny whereas "Arabian Dance" made him scary again! :D When I can see your account on Imeem, I'll start uploading my stuff there as well.

Also, I'll admit that now, whenever I think about vidding, I Google the song in question to see if WMG own the rights :) The two I have in mind aren't under WMG's aegis, so there's hope...

THanks for mentioning that you couldn't make it play. I'll have to assume no one else could either, but no one else felt like telling me so. Anyway, I embedded it in this entry instead.

Yeah, the music can make all the difference. For example, this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSIs3KoRIPw is not that funny if you replace the music with some other song. And when the editing of the vid depends on matching it specifically to certain moments in a song? Yeah, the music's important!
