I bought a pot of Spiced Rum Butterscotch Sauce from The Stonewall Kitchen.

Other than that, things aren’t going so well. Portsmouth Housing sent a letter to the Hampton Beach address over the summer, telling me I had been accepted to the waiting list. Because the letter was returned to sender, I was taken off the list. I could’ve sworn I listed my mailing address as my parents house on the application. But even if I didn’t, I do have two phone numbers, and the landline has two answering machines.

“You need to tell us when you’ve moved” they said. But even if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have gotten the letter because I had no mailbox there!

I have a theory. They never try too hard to track you down because if they can take you off the list, you become one less person to deal with.

I would like to find some specific publication or contest to query or submit to, because if I don’t have a deadline, a specific audience in mind, writing guidelines, a general topic, and the possibility of getting either paid or professionally published, I am much less likely to actually finish anything. I will waffle forever. So I’m gonna look at the Writer’s Market tomorrow night.
