Squeaky Fromme has been released from prison. Heh. What on earth do you do with your life once you've been Squeaky Fromme?
But
look closely at The Onion's American Voices section. There's something off about it...
My birthday was pretty dull, but I guess I'd rather have dull than exciting yet horrible. But I have treated myself to an American Girl doll. An
Elizabeth Cole. Because I've always been interested in collecting Felicity's world, it's just that Samantha got there first. Anyway, it was a good deal. Not a spectacular one, but better than I'd do ordering from the catalog and better than I'd do going to the store in Natick (with the gas and the tolls and the $4 sales tax...).
But I guess it's "Interesting Typo Day". "They share their love or horses". Well, a Religious Reich group did try to accuse them of being gay during the whole "I CAN" debacle. And AG fired back by doing a photo shoot for their "Imagine" magazine where Elizabeth and Felicity are frolicking hatless and stockingless and incredibly Sapphic in a sunny meadow.
I want them to do a Pilgrim girl. But I don't know if that'd sell well. ETA: I mean, I want AG to *make* a Pilgrim girl, not for Felicity and Elizabeth to do a Pilgrim girl...that's too bizarre even for me.
I'm currently watching a documentary called "From Shtetel to Swing". I set Rebecca up in front of the tv to watch it too.
